Aloha! making gheehe super ayurvedic food, is super simple.
Find the best quality butter you can find. Blessed free range cows' are the best, but since we know this is not always possible, just THE best (probably the most expensive one) is fine.
Non salted, preferably.
Choose a pan where you could hi -heat the ghee. Usually what you'll get is
1/3 off the original quantity, so make sure you have enough for your jar. (Glass jar, to avoid contaminations, and clean it well and dry it well too!). Put the butter inside, heat it up and stri it until its melted. When it starts to cook, you'll see a white foam coming to the surface. take it all out. Some residues will also stay in the bottom. Your ghee is the transparent oil , all the other whitish residues, you can through away (or give it to someone who know how to coik better than I do ;) ).
Google says: " Ghee is an excellent source of fat-soluble vitamins and healthy fatty acids, which aids in weight loss". That alone would make half of the people who read this, add this ingredient in your diet.
Also, Ghee, as any healthy fat, helps lubrificating joints, even boosting your skin hydration and lowering your cholesterol. A tablespoon of ghee every morning with hot water can provide you with a lot of health benefits.
For those who love coffee like me, try it on your bulletcoffee!
